Founded in 1996, “Peace Coffee offers organic fair-trade coffee that sustains the livelihoods of the people who grow, roast, and sell it; preserves and protects the environment that produces it; and delights the taste buds of those who drink it.”
Over fifteen years ago the idea came about when coffee prices were at an all time low, and conversations started Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy. No fair trade agreement had been established in the U.S. and Peace Coffee made it their founding mission to only buy coffee from fair trade and cooperative means directly from the farmers growing it.
The Peace Coffee Team makes regular trips to regions where there coffee is made to learn about different growing techniques and the characteristics of each coffee bean. You can purchase coffee beans, brewing equipment, and coffee subscriptions which allows you to try various beans for months at a time.
